C!SN 1.3.16: Heritage Square Antique Mall, Kenny Centre Mall {Belle’s Bread Japanese Bakery & Cafe, J Avenue Japanese Collection}.

Story:

Over the holiday break, I studied for, attended training for and became (after passing the test) a Certified Tourism AmbassadorTM (CTA). This is a nationally recognized certification for those who want to enhance visitors' experience. Through the study materials, I have learned even more about Columbus and the surrounding areas, and look forward to providing even more thorough information to all of you!

On Saturday, I got to browse through the Heritage Square Antique Mall with my high school friend, Alex. She is a go to person for all kinds of antique and specialty shops, and just the person to help me find Viking Glass Vases. Now, Viking Glass Vases are not vases made to look like vikings. These are colorful vases with long, organic shapes. Beautiful and vivid. I found many, purchased one, and it is still wrapped up because I just do not know where to display it!

Sunday, Burke and I went to the Kenny Centre Mall which is located on the corner of Kenny Rd, and Old Henderson Rds for the Pepperidge Farm outlet store. While we were there, we decided to take a look around the Japan Marketplace, located within the Kenny Centre Mall. Belle's Bread Japanese Bakery & Cafe was the first stop. Burke and I are amazed at the beauty of the wedding cakes on display, the lovely pastries behind the case, and the variety of breads available. We split a pork tenderloin sandwich, and selected fries as our side (we had the option of a salad). I want to return for pastries and for green tea soft serve!

Across the courtyard is J Avenue Japanese Collection. This fantastic shop features a wide variety of items, from stationary, to housewares, from health and beauty, to home office. And so many things are available to try out or sample, which makes browsing lots of fun! Burke especially liked the Aquamist Ultrasonic Oil Diffusor, and I liked the Super Tiny Lucky Cats!

C!SN is always happy to feature the music of Captain Kidd!
